Proof that miracles happen

A check up and an eye appointment

Today Isabella went to the eye doctor. He was very encouraged that she is trying to see. He couldn't tell for sure just how much she is seeing, but he was sure was seeing something. Also she said she does not need glasses at this time. So as I had already suspected, her cortical visual impairment is healing. Remember the Doctors told us she would probably never see or hear again. Isn't God great!!!
Also we went to special care clinic (vent Dr.) She wants us to continue to wean her off the vent. She said Isabella really isn't on much support. She was again really impressed with how great our girl is doing. It is so good to go and be able to hear how great your baby is finally doing opposed to how poorly she is doing. I feel like the dark days are behind us. I give God all of the credit for how far he has brought Isabella this last year. I can't believe that on the 31st of this month it will be a year since Isabella suffered her brain damage. I look back at how she was when we first brought her home back last September to what she is now.

That's amazing! It sounds like she'll be off the vent before you know it! She continues to get better and better, and it will stay that way. :) I feel the same way about the dark days. It's great and such a relief to hear wonderful news opposed to horrible news.
